“Dear Young Black Males, It’s okay to be different. Don’t be afraid to be yourself. Have courage! Follow your dreams, no matter how BIG your dreams may seem. Attitude is everything! Make sure that you keep a positive one, in spite of any obstacles that may come your way. Don’t be so quick to give up, and please remember that self-discipline is your friend. Be strong, persevere, and most importantly, BELIEVE in yourself. Don’t listen to anybody’s negativity. Move forward knowing that you CAN and you WILL. Be unstoppable!”
― Stephanie Lahart

We spoke to our Brave model about why he made the choice to take this step into loving himself fully and this is what he had to say.:

"See. The thing is I always craved freedom. So I decided to manifest my perception of freedom through nudity, and guess what it worked out perfectly for me and the photographer haha :)
I've never been comfortable with myself like at all because I've always wanted to be like Jason Samoa LMFAO 😂
But being in a closed space with JuliaArt in Windhoek East made me feel like I can't be touched. I advise my future seeds to be as comfortable. Because social media shouldn't the reason why you're not."

“We cultivate love when we allow our most vulnerable and powerful selves to be deeply seen and known, and when we honor the spiritual connection that grows from that offering with trust, respect, kindness and affection.

Love is not something we give or get; it is something that we nurture and grow, a connection that can only be cultivated between two people when it exists within each one of them – we can only love others as much as we love ourselves.

Shame, blame, disrespect, betrayal, and the withholding of affection damage the roots from which love grows. Love can only survive these injuries if they are acknowledged, healed and rare.”
― Brené Brown, The Gifts of Imperfection

For the longest time in my carreer it was really hard to find black models, especially males, people would say, yeah nice art but its clearly for white people because KAMA nudity is un african liiiiike, can we ban this thought in 2020 please? Our ancestors roamed the earth bare, often only covered for warmth during winter in animal skins and adornments from nature, we are nature.
Flash forwad to 2018/2019 and i get the honour of working with the black male form. The black man needs alot of love and care. the black man need to rediscover himself and his power.
